Weekly Problem

As a class, choose a product, such as sneakers, microwave popcorn, or notebooks. Devise a method to determine which brand of that product is the best buy. Use a chart or table to record factors to consider, such as price, style, ingredients, quality, quantity, and comfort.

It is difficult to use the strategies as an adult problem solver… but I think I can manage… a picture, a chart, maybe a question to my partner… but how do we empower our students to know… to really know that they can use strategies, that the right answer is not the only thing that is important, but that thinking and explaining your thinking is above the right answer….
